Community Life

To a certain degree, community life is made for the Japanese, but this means that solitude, silence, modesty of the eyes - anything that prevents comparing oneself with others - is very difficult. Japanese are ready-made dialoguers and consensus makers and are usually happy to go along with anything decided this way - as long as they can express their opinions and hear those of the others. In that sense, the discussion part of the weekly Chapter is liked by them.
